Order of the Golden Kite 6th Class. The Order of the Golden Kite (金鵄勲章(きんしくんしょう) was an exclusively military award, abolished in 1947, conferred for bravery, leadership or command in battle. It ranked just below the Order of the Chrysanthemum in precedence and was the military equivalent of the Order of the Paulownia Flowers. The order consisted of seven classes. Enlisted rank soldiers were eligible for the 7th–5th classes, non-commissioned officers were eligible for the 6th–4th classes, junior officers for the 5th–3rd classes, field grade officers for the 4th–2nd classes and general officers for the 3rd-1st classes.

Original medal with rosette in overall good condition with matching case with silver lettering (Showa – World War II).
