SS-Obersturmführer Walter Girg (13.08.1919 † 25.07.2010) earned the Ritterkreuz on October 4, 1944 as SS-Obersturmführer und Zugführer of the 1. Kompanie/ SS-Jäger-Bataillon 502 and the Eichenlaub on April 1, 1945 as SS-Hauptsturmführer und Führer of a Sonderkommando of SS-Jagdverband Mitte. Good condition. Signed on the back.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
