Oberst Max Sperling (04.09.1905 in Kulm † 06.06.1984 in Heidelberg) earned the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on November 27, 1941 with Kradschützen-Bataillon 18 and the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on April 6, 1944 as Oberstleutnant und Kommandeur in the Panzergrenadier-Regiment 11 of the 9. Panzer-Division.

Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
