Oberstleutnant Helmut Bennemann (16.03.1915 in Wanne-Eickel † 07.11.2007 in Bad Sassendorf) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on October 2, 1942 as Hauptmann und Kommandeur of I. Gruppe/ Jagdgeschwader 52 (after 52 aerial victories).
Helmut Bennemann achieved 92 aerial victories (including 70 in the East and 1 four-engined bomber) over the course of 400+ sorties during WWII.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
