Oberst Volprecht Konrad Riedesel Freiherr zu Eisenbach (10.12.1912 † 09.02.1945) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on October 7, 1942 as Hauptmann und Kommandeur of the II. Gruppe/ Kampfgeschwader 76 and the Eichenlaub on January 14, 1945 as Oberstleutnant und Kommodore of the Kampfgeschwader 54 . Good condition. He also flew the Me 262!
Riedesel Freiherr zu Eisenbach had conducted about 450 operational sorties when he was shot down with his Me 262 (B3+GL / Werk-Nr. 110802) on February 9th, 1945 at 3km East of Camberg near Idstein in the Hochtaunus. He was posthumously promoted to Oberst.
Interestingly, he was also captured by the Belgians in 1940 (released after Belgium was conquered)
