Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Otto Mertens. Hauptmann Otto Mertens (05.10.1916 † 20.05.1982) earned the Ritterkreuz on April 11, 1944 as Hauptmann und Führer of the III. Bataillon/ Füsilier-Regiment 68 of the 23. Infanterie-Division.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
