Johannes Erasmus (24.10.1913 in Atmagea, Rumania † 01.08.1993 in Tutzing) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on April 13, 1944 as Major im Generalstab und Ia of the XXXXVIII. Panzerkorps. Large size: 12,7×17,8cm.
Knight’s Cross: “Major Erasmus received the Knight’s Cross to the Iron Cross for his leadership and personal actions during the cleanup of the enemy penetration at Tarnopol on the 11.03.1944.”
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
