He was severely wounded for which he earned the Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber and earned the Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse (awarded to him by the 548. Volksgrenadier-Division). Soldbuch denazified on the front, the awards page seems to be exchanged or never written in.
