Gerhard Bielig (28.04.1916 † 29.10.2004) earned the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on December 9, 1941 as Oberleutnant (Ing.) und Leitender Ingenieur of U-Boot “U-103” and the Ritterkreuz on February 10, 1943 as Kapitänleutnant (Ing.) und Leitender Ingenieur of U-Boot “U-177”. Good condition. Measuring 7,8×11,2cm. Comes with a handwritten letter!

Knight’s Cross: “Kapitänleutnant Bielig has served as the chief engineer aboard U-Boats since the beginning of the war, and has been involved in the sinking of 51 ships (with 280000 GRT). He has succeeded in saving his U-Boat from destruction on three separate occasions. In total he has spent 454 days at sea.”
