Original Soldbuch of SS-Unterscharführer Herbert Prietz, who served with the SS-Panzer-Artillerie-Regiment 1 of the 1. SS-Panzer-Division “LSSAH”. He served onwards from Russia – Normandy – Battle of the Bulge – Hungary – Austria! He was captured on May 9, 1945.

He was issued a Tarnjacke (camo jacket) in November 1944! He earned the War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords, Iron Cross 2nd Class and the Sturmabzeichen fur schwere Waffen. He earned the Sturmabzeichen for the Battle of Normandy! He has at least 3 (confirmed) Close Combat Days in Saint-Lambert ! 4 other confirmed Close Combat Days are for Russia. There are also more Close Combat Days listed (in pencil) thought not confirmed by stamp or signature; thought it’s all the same writing so likely it was administration that was caught up late in the war. In pencil, there are 3 more close combat days for Normandy: 10.8, 13.8. & 16.8.44!

The Soldbuch ID photo was removed and there are also loose pages. Comes with an extra document listing more about his service (incl. HJ awards). Although no photograph, it’s a top LSSAH Normandy Soldbuch!
