Generalleutnant Karl-Ludwig Rhein (30.03.1894 in Wetzlar † 27.03.1988) earned the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on December 26, 1941 with Infanterie-Regiment 439 and the *Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes* on March 6, 1942 as Oberst und Kommandeur of Infanterie-Regiment 439 of the 134. Infanterie-Division. Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
