Original award document set of Oberschütze Paul Lorch, who served with the Stab I. Bataillon/ Infanterie-Regiment 358 of the 205. Infanterie-Division. During his service, he earned the:

  • Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz (Wound Badge in Black) for his wound suffered on February 12, 1942. Signed by an unknown officer. Rare A4-size variant! Interestingly, although awarded the VWA Schwarz, he died 3 days later!
  • Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42 (Winter War Medal) for his service during the harsh winter of 1941/42 (posthumously) on July 25, 1942.
  • Extra paper related to the awarding of his WIO posthumously to the family.
