Small but Stunning Award document set of Obergefreiter Theodor Christ, who earned all of his awards while serving with the 1. Kompanie/ Panzer-Pionier-Bataillon 89 of the 5. Panzer-Division! He was Killed in Action by bombshrapnell in various parts of his body on October 9, 1944 according to my research, while still serving with the same unit.

  • Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse (Iron Cross 2nd Class) for his service on March 15, 1944 which was signed by Generalmajor u. Divisions-Kommandeur Karl Decker (Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords and committed suicide in April 1945!), some staining on the document.
  • Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen (General Assault Badge) for supporting 3 assaults, which was signed by Generalmajor u. Divisions-Kommandeur Gustav Fehn (Knight’s Cross), has been foled twice in the past.
  • Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42 (Winter War Medal) for his service during the harsh winter on August 12, 1942, which was signed by Hauptmann u. Bataillons-Kommandeur Edzard von Reden (Knight’s Cross)
