Bernhard Rogge – Hilfskreuzer “Atlantis”

Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Bernhard Rogge. Vizeadmiral Bernhard Rogge (04.11.1899 in Schleswig † 29.06.1982 in Reinbek) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on December 7, 1940 as Kapitän zur See und Kommandant of Hilfskreuzer “Atlantis” and the Eichenlaub on December 31, 1941 as Kapitän zur See und Kommandant of Hilfskreuzer “Atlantis”. He also earned the Kriegsabzeichen für Hilfskreuzer mit Brillianten.

Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
