The Mother’s Cross was instituted to award mother’s for their exhibited probity, exemplary motherhood and who raised at least 4 children. The Cross came in 3 grades: Bronze (4 or 5 Children), Silver (6-7) and Gold (8 or more) and was awarded from 1939 until 1945.
