Original Deutscher Volkssturm Soldbuch, zugleich Personalausweis (German Volkssturm Pay Book and Identity Document) from the final period of the Second World War.
This interesting late-war document features the distinctive printed cover inscription Deutscher Volkssturm – Wehrmacht and includes a printed portrait of Adolf Hitler. The personal details identify the holder as born on 20 June 1928, meaning he was approximately 16–17 years old during 1945.
The booklet contains handwritten personal information, military registration details and an official stamp associated with the Deutscher Volkssturm, Gau 42. A dated entry appears on page 2, alongside the official stamp and signatures.
An interesting original document illustrating the mobilisation and administration of the Volkssturm during the final phase of the war, when Germany increasingly relied on older men and very young recruits.
Condition: Shows age-related wear and handling, with minor marks and signs of use. The booklet remains intact in the photographed pages. The designated photograph space is empty; the portrait visible on the opposite page is printed in the booklet.
A desirable historical document for collectors of German Volkssturm, late-war militaria and Third Reich paper items.
