DRK Verwendungsbuch & Personal-Ausweis – Oberhelferin – Reserve-Lazarett Teltow, Berlin
An original wartime Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (DRK) document grouping belonging to DRK Oberhelferin Marta Jakob, consisting of her matching Verwendungsbuch and Personal-Ausweis, both retaining their original portrait photographs.
The Personal-Ausweis was issued in Berlin on 25 November 1940, identifying Marta Jakob as an Ober-Helferin. The identification card retains its original photograph, official DRK issue stamps and annual validation stamps for 1942–1944.
The accompanying Verwendungsbuch records her wartime nursing service beginning on 17 May 1944, documenting her mobilisation into the voluntary nursing service during the final phase of the Second World War.

The Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (DRK) was responsible for supplying thousands of trained women to military hospitals, reserve hospitals and evacuation facilities throughout Germany and occupied Europe. Their service was documented in official Verwendungsbücher, which accompanied the nurse throughout her wartime employment.
This grouping belonged to Marta Jakob, born 14 June 1897 in Halbe, Kreis Teltow.
Her DRK Personal-Ausweis was issued in Berlin on 25 November 1940, identifying her as an Oberhelferin, a senior female auxiliary within the DRK nursing organisation.
Her Verwendungsbuch records mobilisation on 17 May 1944, when she entered active wartime nursing service. Initial examinations found her fit for duty despite being 47 years old, considerably older than many DRK auxiliaries mobilised late in the war.
She served at Reserve-Lazarett Teltow, where she was assigned to nursing care and later transferred to a wound treatment section. The booklet also records:
