EK2 & KVK2X Award Doc Set: Oberleutnant in Batterie (E) 695 & s.A.A.679 (KIA Westfront ’45)
Original Award document of Oberleutnant Waldemar Zabel who served with the schwere Artillerie-Abteilung 679 and Batterie (E) 695. He didn’t survive the war and died of his wounds suffered on February 18, 1945, at that time he was Batteriechef of Batterie 686 on the Westfront! During the war, he earned both the:
- Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse (Iron Cross 2nd Class) for his service on November 11, 1943, which was signed by Georg Lindemann (RK+EL).
- Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern (War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords) for his service on April 13, 1942, which was signed by Georg Lindemann (RK+EL).
- Extra document covering his wartime service and data.
