1) Participating in the German attempt to crush the Anzio bridgehead on 16.02.1944, where his regiment broke through British lines and advanced 3 km.
2) Launching a counterattack against the flank of the advancing allied troops during Operation Buffalo (23.05.1944), near the village of Velletri.
3) His troops’ defensive battles at the Futa Pass.
