Oberleutnant Ernst Petzold (06.08.1914 in Rammenau † 20.04.1999 in Uberlingen) earned the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on July 16, 1942 with Kampfgeschwader 54 “Totenkopf” and the Ritterkreuz des Eisernes Kreuzes on September 17, 1941 as Oberleutnant und Flugzeugführer in the 5. Staffel/ Kampfgeschwader 54 “Totenkopf”.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
