Original German WWII DRK / female auxiliary archive grouping belonging to Anneliese Heffens. The lot consists of an interesting collection of prewar and wartime (plus 3 postwar letters) material including Feldpost correspondence, handwritten notes, poems and song texts, photographs, a 1940 notebook/diary and an original 1937 Deutsches Rotes Kreuz gathering program.
The printed program concerns an official assembly of female DRK auxiliary personnel organized by the Deutsches Frauenwerk, Deutsches Rotes Kreuz and Vaterländischer Frauenverein in Steinburg on 19 May 1937.
Several original wartime Feldpost envelopes are present, together with personal handwritten material and photographs showing nurses and soldiers in period settings. A small edelweiss souvenir remains preserved inside the notebook.
An attractive and very personal WWII-era paper archive with excellent research and display potential.
Condition varies from good to very good with normal age wear, folds and minor handling traces consistent with period use. The grouping remains well preserved overall and is sold exactly as shown in the photographs.

Historical Description
A highly interesting and personal archive grouping relating to a female member of the German Red Cross (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz – DRK), identified throughout the documents and correspondence as Anneliese Heffens. The group spans the prewar and wartime years and contains a mixture of letters, handwritten notes, photographs, poetry or song texts, and organizational material connected to female DRK service and associated women’s organizations in National Socialist Germany.
One of the highlights is an original printed 1937 program titled:
“Appell der weibl. Einsatzkräfte des Deutschen Roten Kreuzes”
issued by the Deutsches Frauenwerk, Deutsches Rotes Kreuz and Vaterländischer Frauenverein, Kreisverein Steinburg. The gathering took place on 19 May 1937 at “Freudenthal” near Itzehoe and reflects the structured mobilization and ideological organization of female auxiliary personnel during the Third Reich period.
The archive further includes multiple wartime Feldpost envelopes and correspondence dated into 1943, several handwritten texts and poems, a small 1940 notebook/diary, personal notes, and period photographs depicting nurses, DRK auxiliaries and soldiers in informal settings. Also included is a small edelweiss souvenir preserved within the notebook.
The collection offers an authentic insight into the personal life and wartime environment of a German female auxiliary connected to the DRK and associated women’s organizations before and during the Second World War. Such untouched personal paper groupings are increasingly difficult to find today, especially when still preserved together.
