Heinrich Himmler + SS-Führer reviewing Troops – SS-Daggers

IN STOCK

Price revealed when Early Access opens.

An interesting original period photograph depicting Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler accompanied by several senior SS officers, inspecting or reviewing a formation of troops on an open parade ground.

The photograph shows the officers in dark SS service uniforms, wearing peaked caps or headgear, rank insignia, armbands and decorations. Particularly noteworthy are the visible SS dress daggers (SS-Dolche) worn by several of the officers, making this an appealing photograph for collectors interested in SS uniforms, edged weapons and insignia.

A formation of uniformed personnel can be seen standing in the background, suggesting a formal inspection, parade or ceremonial military gathering. The exact occasion, location and date have not been established, and the accompanying officers have not been individually identified.

Photographer’s Marking

The reverse bears a faint period photographer’s stamp reading:

FOTO-KEMPE – Inh. Gerh. Jacobs & Fritz Kempe – Greifswald

This original photographic studio marking provides a useful point of reference for further historical research. The precise circumstances under which the photograph was taken remain unconfirmed.

Condition

Original photograph in used period condition. The image remains clear and displays good detail in the uniforms, headgear, decorations and daggers. The reverse shows the faded photographer’s stamp. There are minor age-related spots, light staining and general wear to the photographic paper, particularly around the edges.

An interesting photographic document for a collection of Third Reich-era photographs, senior SS personalities, uniform studies or German WWII edged weapons.
