Heldentod Urkunde – Panzer-Regiment 7 (Africa, Sidi Nsir in Tunisia)

Large-size original “Heldentod Ehrenurkunde” (“Hero’s Death honor document”), which given to family member’s of a soldier who was Killed in Action. This document is honored to Unteroffizier Willy Eickelpasch, who served with the 8. Kompanie/ Panzer-Regiment 7 of the 10. Panzer-Division. Eickelpasch was killed on February 27, 1943 near Sidi Nsir in Tunisia, Africa! This document comes with a photograph of Willy Eickelpasch in his tropical uniform, a photograph of his grave, a photograph of a comrade’s grave (Severin Riedel was KIA on Febr. 26, ’43 while serving with the same company and also was KIA at Sidi Nsir) and a photo of a Luftwaffe soldier. I do think that the large photo depicting Willi is a authentic wartime copy of that particular photo which may have sustained fire damage (you can see the corners blackened and outline of the borders from the original photograph). A small but interesting set!
