The War Merit Cross with Swords recognised military merit associated with service under enemy action or in circumstances involving combat-related duties. This original certificate is dated during the middle period of the Second World War and documents the award to a recipient holding the rank of Stabswachtmeister, a senior non-commissioned rank used in certain German mounted and specialist units.

The document features traditional Gothic lettering, the recipient’s name in typewritten text, the award date and location, an official Wehrkreis III service seal, and a handwritten authentication by an officer identified as a Major. The award-list reference is Nr. 100, Verleihungsliste Nr. 9/43.

Condition: The paper shows age-related toning, a prominent horizontal fold through the centre, light creasing, and some wear to the seal. The handwritten authentication remains visible. Please examine the photographs carefully for the exact condition.
