Originale deutsche Verleihungsurkunde zum Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern (Award Certificate for the War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords), awarded to Oberfeldwebel Erich Simon on 30. Januar 1945 in Kassel.

The certificate was issued by the Kommandierender General des Stellvertretenden IX. Armeekorps und Befehlshaber im Wehrkreis IX (Commanding General of the Deputy IX Army Corps and Commander of Military District IX).

It bears the printed designation „m. d. W. d. G. b.“ (mit der Wahrnehmung der Geschäfte beauftragt), indicating that the officer was entrusted with carrying out the duties of the post. The named issuing officer is Generalleutnant Theodor Petsch, who assumed these responsibilities in December 1944. His appointment and rank correspond to the details on the certificate.

The document retains its original Dienstsiegel (official service seal) of the Stellvertretendes Generalkommando IX. Armeekorps and the handwritten signature of the issuing authority. A separate Beglaubigungsvermerk (verification endorsement) appears at the lower right.

Condition: Good overall vintage condition, with a prominent horizontal fold, additional creasing, light age-related toning and minor handling marks. The printed text, signatures and circular service seal remain visible.
