Original German Wehrmacht award document for the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern (War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords), awarded to Feldwebel Emil Huppertz in Münster on 30 January 1945.
The document was issued under the authority of General der Infanterie Franz Mattenklott, acting as deputy commanding general and commander of Wehrkreis VI.
The certificate features its original printed Gothic lettering, typewritten recipient details, an official seal, and a handwritten authentication in turquoise ink, identified on the document as belonging to a Hauptmann. The award-list reference is recorded as IIc. 1465/45.
The War Merit Cross with Swords recognised military merit associated with service under conditions involving enemy action. The second-class award was commonly worn suspended from a ribbon.
Condition: The document shows age-related discoloration, a horizontal fold across the centre, and fading to the official seal. The turquoise handwritten authentication remains visible. Please examine the photographs for the precise condition.
