Kubanschild Award Doc – Oberjäger – XXXXIX. (Geb.) A.K. – 1 October 1944
Original German Besitzzeugnis (certificate of possession/award) for the Kubanschild (Kuban Shield), awarded to Oberjäger Julius Lang, serving with the General Command XXXXIX. (Geb.) A.K. (XXXXIX. Gebirgs-Armeekorps).
The certificate is dated 1 October 1944 and was issued “Im Namen des Führers”. It bears an original period Generalfeldmarschall signature, together with the appropriate official stamped seal.
The Kubanschild was instituted in 1943 for personnel who had taken part in the fighting around the Kuban bridgehead in southern Russia, making original award documentation particularly interesting to collectors of Ostfront, Gebirgsjäger and German award documents.
The certificate is in used original condition, with visible folds, handling marks, light staining/discoloration and age-related paper wear. The original writing, stamp and signature remain clearly visible.
