Original letter of SS-Brigadeführer Hermann Priess to SS-Brigadeführer Peter Hansen with letter head “I. SS-Panzerkorps “Leibstandarte”, Der Kommandierende General”. Dated 30 November 1944 just before the Battle of the Bulge!
SS-Brigadeführer Hermann Priess (24.05.1901 † 22.02.1985) earned the Ritterkreuz on April 28, 1943 as SS-Oberführer und Kommandeur of the SS-Totenkopf-Artillerie-Regiment , the Eichenlaub on September 9, 1943 as SS-Brigadeführer und Generalmajor der Waffen-SS und Kommandeur of the SS-Panzergrenadier-Division “Totenkopf” and the Schwertern on April 24, 1944 as SS-Brigadeführer und Generalmajor der Waffen-SS und Kommandeur of 3.
