Award document for the dritte Stufe des Ehrenkreuzes der Deutschen Mutter (Cross of Honour of the German Mother also simply said ‘Mother’s Cross’). The Mother’s Cross was instituted to award mother’s for their exhibited probity, exemplary motherhood and who raised at least 4 children. The Cross came in 3 grades: Bronze (4 or 5 Children), Silver (6-7) and Gold (8 or more) and was awarded from 1939 until 1945. Document is A4 size, bears the facismile signature of Otto Meissner and has been folded several times.
