Major Hubert Rauh (15.11.1913 in Klein Wolkersdorf † 30.08.2005 in Neunkirchen) earned the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on August 20, 1944 as Hauptmann in the II. Gruppe/ Nachtjagdgeschwader 4 and the Ritterkreuz on April 28, 1945 as Hauptmann und Kommandeur of the II. Gruppe/ Nachtjagdgeschwader 4.

 

Knight’s Cross: Awarded in recognition of his total of 31 night victories achieved over just 150 sorties.

 

Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
