Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Rolf Pauls. Major im Generalstab Rolf Pauls (26.08.1915 in Eckartsberga †04.05.2002 in Bonn) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on November 18, 1944 as Major im Generalstab und Ia of the 363. Volksgrenadier-Division.
After the Second World war, Rolf Pauls became the first West-German ambassador in Israel, followed by a post as ambassador in the United States and finally the first West German ambassador in the Peoples Republic of China.
