Original Soldbuch of SS-Rottenführer Ferdinand Ostreich, who served with the SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment 36 of the 16. SS–Panzer-Grenadier-Division “Reichsführer-SS“ & SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment 6 “Theodor Eicke” & Nachrichten-Kompanie of the 3. SS-Panzer-Division “Totenkopf”. Interestingly, he was promoted after he went Missing. Although, he’s listed in the DRK books, he died in Russian captivity in March 1945 (or was last seen alive on this date and died later, sometimes these dates of death were used when last seen alive if they didn’t have a correct date of death). This was confirmed by WASt that he died in captivity. Complete with a photo.
