TOP WWII Kriegsmarine Photo Grouping of Oberfunkmeister from U-3506

Rare original WWII Kriegsmarine photo grouping belonging to a German Oberfunkmeister (Senior Radio Operator) connected to U-3506, a late-war Type XXI U-boat. The grouping exists of 19 photographs (of which one portrait, signed and named on the reverse).

The grouping consists of numerous original private photographs showing Kriegsmarine personnel in both formal and informal settings, including dockside ceremonies, parade formations, group portraits, harbor scenes in Danzig, and personnel aboard or beside naval vessels.

Several photographs are marked on the reverse with unit stamps from 7. Kriegsschiffbauabteilung Danzig, while handwriting on the reverse identify the original owner as an Oberfunkmeister assigned to U-3506 and many of the the NCO’s, U-boat commanders of 3 other boats, CO of the 8. U-Flottille etcetera. This makes the lot especially interesting, as U-3506 was one of Germany’s advanced late-war Type XXI Elektroboote, among the most technologically sophisticated submarines of the war.

A scarce and historically attractive photo grouping with direct U-boat connection, ideal for collectors of Kriegsmarine and U-Boot material. Overall in good used condition with normal age wear, corner wear, handling traces, and minor creasing consistent with wartime photographs.
