A genuine pair of original Wehrmacht Heer officer shoulderboards for a Hauptmann (Captain) of Infanterie-Regiment 51 of the 18. Infanterie-Division (later 18. Panzer-Grenadier-Division).
The shoulderboards feature the characteristic white infantry branch colour, embroidered officer braid and gilt “51” regimental cyphers, together with the appropriate rank insignia. Both shoulderboards retain their original construction and stitching.
The pair is in well-worn original condition, showing age, service wear, staining, fraying and general signs of use as clearly visible in the photographs. The reverse construction and original attachment details are also present.
