Wehrmacht Soldbuch – Grenadier-Regiment 769 & 770 – Panzerjäger-Kp. 1462 – POW (2x Awards)

Original WWII German Wehrmacht Soldbuch. The soldbuch is in well-used, worn condition, particularly to the front pages, with extensive period writing, stamps, corrections and signs of long-term field use.

The Soldbuch documents service with:

  • Infanterie-Regiment 770
  • Grenadier-Regiment 769
  • 2. Stug (?) Panzerjäger-Kompanie 1462

The document contains several Lazarett/hospital entries, including stays at Reserve-Lazarett facilities in Aschaffenburg and Marienbad, providing additional evidence of the soldier’s wartime service and medical history.

Awards

Two clearly documented awards are recorded:

  • Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz — awarded 30 November 1943
  • Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen — awarded 4 February 1944

POW history

An especially interesting feature of this Soldbuch is its post-capture history. The document bears evidence that the soldier was subsequently held as a prisoner of war by the Allied forces, including an Allied POW number beginning with 31G-.

Condition

Fair / well-used condition.

The front pages show considerable wear, staining, handling damage and general age-related deterioration. Several pages contain heavy handwritten annotations, stamps and corrections. Despite the condition, the important service, hospital and award entries remain largely legible, making this a worthwhile original Soldbuch for collectors of German WWII personnel documents.

A genuine, untouched wartime Soldbuch with an infantry service history, two documented combat-related awards, multiple Lazarett entries and Allied POW markings.
