During his service with the Wehrmacht, he served with various Artillery Units such as: schwere Artillerie-Ersatz-Abteilung 3/313, from March 1942- January 1945 with Heeres-Küsten-Artillerie-Abteilung 448 (stationed in North of Norway), January 1945 until March 1945 with Heeres-Festungs-Artillerie-Abteilung 841 (Weichselbogen) and from March 1945 – with Heeres-Artillerie-Brigade 959. He was promoted to Obergefreiter and was awarded with the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwerter (War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords) Good condition (frontcover has signs of wear and tear).
