WWII Feuerwehr-Ausweis – Freiwillige Feuerwehr Anrath (1935) with Portrait

An original German WWII-period Feuerwehr-Ausweis (Fire Brigade Identity Booklet) belonging to Wilhelm Henzen, issued by the Freiwillige Feuerwehr des Ortspolizeibezirks Anrath (Volunteer Fire Brigade of the Anrath Police District).

The booklet retains its original green cover with the national Feuerwehr emblem and contains an excellent original portrait photograph of the owner, officially cancelled with multiple Freiwillige Feuerwehr Anrath ink stamps. It records Henzen’s personal details, showing he was born on 12 July 1914 in Anrath and worked as a machinist (Maschinist). Membership is recorded from 1 June 1935 as a Feuerwehrmann.

Also recorded is his peacetime military service from 28 October 1935 until 25 September 1937, serving with Infanterie-Regiment 78, later redesignated Infanterie-Regiment 79, adding further historical interest to the document.

A well-preserved and attractive identity document from the German volunteer fire service, complete with portrait photograph, official unit stamps, and documented military service. Such named Feuerwehr identity booklets are increasingly sought after by collectors of German civil organizations and Third Reich documentation.

Condition: Very good overall condition with light age-related wear. The photograph, stamps, and handwritten entries remain clear and well preserved.
