2x Award documents for Gefreiter Gustav Schmalz, who served with the 6. Kompanie/ Infanterie-Regiment 22 of the 1. Infanterie-Division. He was awarded the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz (Wound Badge in Black), which was signed by (later) Oberst Karl Trautmann (RKT+EBS+DKIG) (?) and the Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber (Wound Badge in Silver), signed by an unknown doctor. Documents have been folded in the past. Comes with two extra ID’s (wartime and postwar) that he was severely wounded from war injuries. The wartime ID was tried to be denazified with inkt but are still clearly visible.
