Original German Tropen-Kokarde (tropical cap cockade) for the Afrikakorps, intended for wear on the tropical field cap (Tropenfeldmütze).
The insignia features the embroidered national cockade in black, white and red, mounted on its characteristic tan tropical-cloth backing. The reverse retains the original embroidery and stitching.
An attractive original piece of tropical uniform insignia, representing the distinctive equipment worn by German forces serving in North Africa during the Second World War.
