Generalleutnant Kurt Chill although not very known throughout history however his decision after the retreat in Normandy, when they were on their way to the Netherlands and he saw all other units retreating as well and no frontline being formed (knowing the importance of Antwerp), he ordered all units to get of the train and form a bridgehead at Antwerp to hold off the Allieds. This move most likely made sure the war wouldn’t end as fast for the Allies as hoped (Christmas) but prolonged the war with some extra months.

Klasse (30.4.41), Frontflugspange für Kampfflieger in Bronze (15.6.41) and the Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse (6.6.41). The EK2, FFSiB and EK1 were earned with the 3./ Kampfgeschwader 26.
KG 26 participated in the Battle of the Mediterranean, Battle of the Atlantic and operations on the Eastern Front, against the Arctic Convoys and the Soviet Navy over the Black Sea. I./KG 26 operated off the United Kingdom’s east coast from bases near Aalborg in Denmark. On 27 April it sank the catapult ship HMS Patia off the mouth of the River Tyne. By 15 June 1941 the Gruppe claimed one Cruiser, one Destroyer, 21 smaller ships and 436,186 BRT of merchant shipping

€1.100,00Original Stunning NCO (Unteroffizier) Waffenrock which is gold piped for Wehrmacht (Heer) Kavallerie (Cavalry). The shoulder boards have added regimental cyphers denoting Kavallerie-Regiment 15, the buttons bear the number 4 for the 4. Schwadron. Researching the 4. Schwadron/ Kavallerie-Regiment 15, we learn that when the unit was disbanded the 4. Schwadron used to form the 1. Kompanie/ Aufklärungs-Abteilung 16 of the 16. Infanterie-Division (later 16. Panzer-Division) which was destroyed in Stalingrad! Condition as seen, the tunic is well preserved with some staining and complete with all its insignia. There are loops to hang an award. The tunic is labeled by A. Losberger, Stuttgart and named inside to a Müller, dated October 1937.

The shoulder boards have added regimental cyphers denoting Artillerie-Regiment 20, the buttons bear the number 4 for the 4. Batterie. Researching the 4. Schwadron/ Artillerie-Regiment 20, we learn that the unit belonged to the 20. Infanterie-Division (later 20. Panzergrenadier-Division)! Condition as seen, the tunic is well preserved with some staining and complete with all its insignia. There are loops to hang an award (one loose).
20. Panzergrenadier-Division: In May 1940 the division took part in the invasion of France, and remained there on occupation duty until April 1941, except for one brief period on reserve in Germany. In June 1941 it joined Operation Barbarossa under Army Group Centre. In September it was transferred to Army Group North, and it spent most of 1942 on the Volkhov Front. In December it was transferred back to Army Group Centre for the relief attempt at the Battle of Velikiye Luki.
In July 1943 it was redesignated as 20th Panzergrenadier Division; by that time it had been given an assault gun battalion to support its infantry. It remained on the Eastern Front for the remainder of the war and ended the war fighting in the Battle of Berlin under the LVI Panzer Corps.

However, at the age of 17, he was severely wounded during Operation EPSOM on June 26, 1944 when he was hit by Granatsplitter Hals und Brust and would died of his wounds on August 3, 1944 a few days before his 18th birthday! During his time with the Hitlerjugend, he was awarded the Hitlerjugend-Leistungabzeichen in Silber. Soldbuch is complete with photograpg! €0,01Original 3x Award document set to Obergefreiter Karl Otto, a Normandy paratrooper of the “notorious” Fallschirmjäger-Regiment 6 also called “The Lions of Carentan”. Otto was awarded the unique combination of an EK2 and Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen in June 1944, so directly in the heat of battle against American paratroopers and Utah Beach forces in and near the town of Carentan. The grouping consists of:
- Award document for the Fallschirmschützen-Abzeichen, awarded in April 1943. Facsimile signed by Generaloberst Bruno Loerzer (RK+PLM).
- Award document for the Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen in Silber, awarded on June 27, 1944. Hand signed by Oberstleutnant Friedrich August von der Heydte (RK+EL), as regimental commander in his Regiments-Gefechtsstand southwest of Carentan. Stamped with Fp.Nr. 55096A, attributed to the Truppenarzt & Stab of II./FJR6. Notice the infantry assault badge was awarded frequently by FJR6 in favor of the Erdkampfabzeichen; several similar original examples exist.
- Award document for the Eiserne Kreuz 2. Klasse, awarded on June 28, 1944. Hand signed by General der Fallschirmtruppe Eugen Meindl (RL+EL+SW) as commander of the II. Fallschirmkorps.

During his service, he earned the Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42, Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz and the Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse. Most notable, the 1. Kompanie (SF)/ Panzerjäger-Abteilung 353 was equipped with Marder III! and fought on the Westfront incl. Brittany, Normandy, Belgium, Maastricht (Netherlands), Düren etc. Complete with photograph, however a photo was re-added, so please note this!
