Alexander Eduardovich Krynin (May 1 , 1996 , Voronezh , Russia – March 28 , 2022 , Malaya Rogan , Kharkov region , Ukraine) – Russian soldier, chief of staff of the tank battalion of the 144th Guards Motorized Rifle Elninsky Red Banner, Order of Suvorov Division of the 20th Guards Combined Arms Army Western Military District , Guard Senior Lieutenant . Hero of the Russian Federation (2022, posthumously).
Born on May 1, 1996 in the city of Voronezh . He studied at Voronezh secondary school No. 95. In 2013 he graduated from the Mikhailovsky Cadet Corps in the same city, in 2018 from the Moscow Higher Military Command School in Moscow. After graduating from college, he served as commander of a motorized rifle platoon of the 488th Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 144th Guards Motorized Rifle Elninskaya Red Banner, Order of Suvorov Division. Then he was appointed commander of a motorized rifle company of the 59th Guards Tank Regiment.
From 24 February 2022, he participated in the Russian invasion of Ukraine . A month later he was appointed chief of staff of the battalion. According to the Russian military department, the unit commanded by Alexander Krynin has been participating in hostilities in the village of Malaya Rogan , Kharkov region , since March 25 . According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, he personally destroyed up to ten enemy soldiers and an armored infantry vehicle, which made it possible to delay the enemy’s advance and enabled the regiment’s units to regroup. On March 28, when leaving the encirclement, he hit two more Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen, but in the clash he received fatal shrapnel wounds to his legs [1] [3] .
He was buried in a rural cemetery in Kochetovka , Khokholsky district, Voronezh region .
By Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 537ss of August 11, 2022, senior lieutenant Alexander Eduardovich Krynin was awarded the title Hero of Russia (posthumously) for his courage and heroism [1] . On September 2, 2022, the Governor of the Voronezh Region, Alexander Gusev , handed over the Gold Star Medal to the family of the deceased.
