Original wartime signed postcard of SS-Obergruppenführer Arthur Seyss-Inquart (22.07.1892 † 16.10.1946) was Austrian Nazi politician who served as Chancellor of Austria in 1938 for two days before the Anschluss. His positions in Nazi Germany included deputy governor to Hans Frank in the General Government of Occupied Poland, and Reichskommissar for the German-occupied Netherlands. In the latter role, he shared responsibility for the deportation of Dutch Jews and the shooting of hostages. At the Nuremberg trials, Seyss-Inquart was found guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity, sentenced to death, and executed by hanging. Postcardsize. Condition as seen.

Oberst Günther Lützow (04.09.1912 † 24.04.1945) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on September 28, 1940, the Eichenlaub on July 20, 1941 & the Schwertern on October 11, 1941 as Major und Kommodore of the Jagdgeschwader 3. Condition as seen.

In April 1945, he joined Galland's Jagdverband 44 (JV 44—44th Fighter Detachment). He was reported missing in action flying the Me 262 on 24 April 1945 while attempting to intercept a U.S. Army Air Forces B-26 Marauder raid near Donauwörth. His body was never recovered.

Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Otto Günsche. SS-Sturmbannführer Otto Günsche (24.09.1917 † 02.10.2003) earned the Verwundetenabzeichen “20. Juli 1944” in Schwarz and was a member of the Leibstandarte-SS Adolf Hitler before he became Adolf Hitler’s personal adjutant. Comes with extra letter. Condition as seen. Postcardsize. With the end of Nazi Germany imminent, Günsche was tasked by Hitler on 30 April 1945 with ensuring the cremation of his body after his death. That afternoon, he stood guard outside the room in the Führerbunker where Hitler and Eva Braun committed suicide. After waiting a short time, Hitler’s valet, Heinz Linge, opened the study door with Martin Bormann at his side. The two men entered the study with Günsche right behind them. Günsche then left the study and announced that Hitler was dead to a group in the briefing room, which included Joseph Goebbels, General Hans Krebs, and General Wilhelm Burgdorf. Günsche had the table and chairs in the study moved out of the way and blankets were laid out on the floor. Hitler and Braun’s lifeless bodies were then wrapped in blankets. In accordance with Hitler’s prior written and verbal instructions, his and Braun’s bodies were carried up the stairs and through the bunker’s emergency exit to the garden behind the Reich Chancellery to be burned. Having ensured that the corpses were burnt using petrol supplied by Hitler’s chauffeur Erich Kempka, Günsche later left the Führerbunker after midnight on 1 May. On 2 May 1945, Günsche was taken prisoner by Soviet Red Army troops that were encircling the city and flown to Moscow for sharp interrogation by the NKVD.

Large size: 12,2x18cm. Major-General Dr. Walter Robert Dornberger was a German Army artillery officer whose career spanned World War I and World War II. He was a leader of Nazi Germany's V-2 rocket programme and other projects at the Peenemünde Army Research Centre. After the war, the US Nazi scientist recruitment programme Operation Paperclip saw him move to the US, largely avoiding punishment for involvement in war crimes, to work for some decades in high positions in aerospace, including for Bell Aircraft and Boeing. He eventually became a Generalmajor. Awarded the Ritterkreuz for: 1. Forming an emergency Flak front in response to British armoured counterattacks on the second day of the Battle of Gazala, the 27.05.1942. This Flak front destroyed 24 of the attacking British Grant tanks and helped save the bulk of the Afrika Korps from a critical situation. 2. The successful handling of his Kampfgruppe in the heavy fighting near El Hamma on the 27.03.1943, where it allegedly destroyed 30 US tanks. 3. Covering the retreat of the 15. Panzer-Division and the 164. Leichte-Division at El Agareb on the 09.04.1943. His Flak guns destroyed 7 tanks on this day and forced the rest of the attacking force (comprising about 50 tanks) to retreat.

Oberstleutnant Franz Graßmel (08.06.1906 † 30.06.1985) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on April 8, 1944 as Major und Kommandeur of the III. Bataillon/ Fallschirmjäger-Regiment 4 of the 1. Fallschirmjäger-Division and the Eichenlaub on May 8, 1945 as Major und Kommandeur of the Fallschirmjäger-Regiment 20 of the 7. Fallschirmjäger-Division. Eichenlaub may not be official.

Ritterkreuz: Awarded for his Bataillon’s role in defeating the Allied Operation Revenge, which began on the 19.03.1944. Conducted as part of the Allied efforts to take Cassino itself, it saw a thrust of 35 tanks launched against the Massa Albaneta in the middle of rugged mountain terrain. It had the aim of advancing towards the Abbey. However it was repulsed with the loss of 29 tanks destroyed or damaged. Grassmel would subsequently be recognized for the major role he played in repulsing this Allied attack in a critical frontline sector.
Eichenlaub: Awarded for the sum of his Regiment’s successes in the Hagenauer forest, Hatten, Rittershofen (January 1945), the Reichswald (February 1945) and especially around Edewecht (April 1945). During the fighting in this latter defensive battle Grassmel and his Regiment played a major role in ensuring the successful evacuation of 42669 men across the Weser river in the time period 11.04.-28.04.1945.
