Original WWII death card (Sterbebild) for Otto Lehr, a crew member of the German submarine U-567.
Service & Fate: Lehr served aboard U-567, a Type VIIC U-boat of the Kriegsmarine. On 21 December 1941, the submarine was sunk in the North Atlantic north-east of the Azores, at position 44.02N, 20.10W, after being attacked with depth charges from the British sloop HMS Deptford. The boat was lost with all 47 crew members.

As U-Boat commander Kapitänleutnant Engelbert Endraß was 232 days at sea, made 10 combat patrols and sank 22 ships with a total tonnage of 118.528 BRT. Engelbert Endraß was Killed in Action on December 21, 1941 as Kommandant of U-567 when it was sank with all hands lost as a result of depth charges from British escort ships. Good condition.
