Small but interesting Award document set of Obergefreiter Karl Bass, who earned his awards while serving with the Stabskompanie/ Infanterie-Regiment 419 (later Grenadier-Regiment 419) of the 125. Infanterie-Division!
- Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen in Silber (Infantry Assault Badge in Silver) for 3 infantry assault during his service on December 14, 1943, which was signed by Oberst u. Regiments-Kommandeur Otto-Hermann Brücker (Knight’s Cross). Document is a nice, uncommon variant (also note in the bottom corner: Form. 1075. DIN A5. Drückerei Gen.Kdo. V Stuttgart). The document has been folded and misses a small piece of corner on the top right.
- Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse (Iron Cross 2nd Class) for his service (heroic) on October 6, 1942 likely earned for actions in the Caucasus where the Division was during that period of time. Document bears stamp sign by General der Infanterie Willi Schneckenburg und was signed (“Für die Richtigkeit”) by another Hauptmann.
- Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42 (Winter War Medal) for his service during the harsh winter of 1941/42 on September 1, 1942, signed by an unknown Oberstleutnant.
