6x Award Docs: Jäger-Regiment 227 (100.Jäg.Div.) (Wounded Stalingrad Sept’ 42)

Set of 6 award documents & promotional document for Leutnant Wilhelm Meierkord who served with Infanterie-Regiment 133, of which the III. Bataillon was afterwards incorporated as the II. Bataillon of Infanterie-Regiment 227 (later Jäger-Regiment 227) of the 100. Jäger-Division. Most interestingly, he was wounded in the area of Stalingrad on September 25, 1942.

• Award document for the Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse. Earned on June 14, 1940 with Infanterie-Regiment 133 of the 45. Infanterie-Division for the Western Campaign in 1940! Signed by Generalleutnant Friedrich Materna (Ritterkreuz).
• Award document for the Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse. Earned on October 24, 1941 with Infanterie-Regiment 227 of the 100. leichte Infanterie-Division! Signed by Generalmajor Werner Sanne (RK) (Captured at Stalingrad and died in captivity!).
• Award document for the Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen. Earned on October 4, 1941. Signed (likely) by (later) Oberst Franz Neibecker (Ritterkreuz) (Captured at Stalingrad and died in Captivity!). Document is torn apart in two.
• Award document for the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz. Earned on October 7, 1941 for a wound suffered on September 18, 1941! Signed by unknown officer.
• Award document for the Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber. Earned on October 31, 1942 for a wound suffered on September 25, 1942! Signed by unknown officer.
