Leutnant Benno Reuter (27.12.1911 in Maxdorf † 18.12.1980 in Letter) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on February 8, 1944 as Stabsfeldwebel und Führer of 7. Kompanie/ Jäger-Regiment 49 and the Eichenlaub on October 28, 1944 as Stabsfeldwebel und Führer of the 6. Kompanie/ Jäger-Regiment 49 of the 28. Jäger-Division.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
