Friedrich Adrario – Panzerjäger-Abteilung 200 & 272 (Normandy)

25,00

Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Friedrich Adrario. Hauptmann Friedrich Adrario (29.11.1918 in Piedicolle † 25.06.2011 in Vienna) earned the Ritterkreuz on December 26, 1944 as Hauptmann und Führer of the Panzerjäger-Abteilung 272 of the 272. Infanterie-Division. Postcardsize.

Adrario was the commander of the Panzerjäger-Abteilung 200 (of the 21. Panzer-Division) during its battles in Normandy. Equipped with the hard-hitting 88mm Pak 43, his battalion was able to wreak carnage during the battle and destroy a total of 116 allied tanks in the months of July and August. For this outstanding combat record, achieved under his command, Adrario was eventually awarded the Knight’s Cross near the end of that year.

Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
