Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo plus Letter of Fritz-Rudolf Schultz. Major Fritz-Rudolf Schultz (19.02.1917 † 02.03.2002) earned the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on December 26, 1943 with Panzer-Regiment 35, the Ritterkreuz on April 21, 1944 as Hauptmann und Kommandeur of the I. Abteilung/ Panzer-Regiment 35 and the Eichenlaub on October 28, 1944 as Major und stellv. Führer of Panzer-Regiment 35 of the 4. Panzer-Division. Good Condition.
Eichenlaub: Awarded for his actions during the defensive battle at the Venta river on the 09.10.1944. While in command of the armoured Kampfgruppe of the Division he counterattacked and smashed a group of Soviets that had broken into the German lines. In doing so he halted an attack by 2-3 Soviet divisions, and was thereby able to stabilize the southern flank of the 4. Panzer-Division.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
