Generalmajor Frankz Bäke (28.02.1898 † 12.12.1978) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on January 11, 1943 as Major der Reserve und Kommandeur and the Eichenlaub on August 1, 1943 with II. Abteilung/ Panzer-Regiment 11 of the 6. Panzer-Division and the Schwertern on February 21, 1944 as Oberstleutnant der Reserve und Kommandeur of the Panzer-Regiment 11 of the 6. Panzer-Division. He also earned the Panzerkampfabzeichen IV. Stufe (Einsatzzahl “100”).
Generalmajor Günther Pape (14.07.1907 † 21.01.1986) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on February 10, 1942 as Major der Reserve und Kommandeur of Kradschützen-Bataillon 3 and the Eichenlaub on September 5, 1943 as Oberst und Kommandeur of the Panzergrenadier-Regiment 394 of the 3. Panzer-Division. He also earned the Panzerkampfabzeichen IV. Stufe (Einsatzzahl “100”).
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
