Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Hans-Joachim Jabs. Oberstleutnant Hans-Joachim Jabs (14.11.1917 † 26.10.2003) earned the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on August 31, 1943 as Hauptmann und Kommandant in the 11. Staffel/ Nachtjagdschwader 1, the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on October 1, 1940 as Oberleutnant und Staffeloffizier of 2. Staffel/ Zerstörergeschwader 76 and the Eichenlaub on March 24, 1944 as Hauptmann und Kommodore of IV. Gruppe/ Nachtjagdgeschwader 1. Hans-Joachim Jabs achieved 50 aerial victories (22 by day and 28 by night) in 710 operational sorties.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
